EMET 5.2 vs EMET 5.5

Hello,

We have 32 bit Windows 7 machines and 64 bit Windows 10 machines. EMET 5.2 works well with Windows 7 whereas EMET 5.5 cause applications to hang. Windows 7 desktops are old hardware where as Windows 10 is new hardware. I see EMET 5.5 is installed in program files (x86) folder on 64 bit Windows 10.  I heard 5.2 is a 32 bit application where as 5.5 is a 64 bit application. Is this statement true? Any advice will be highly appreciated....
